(A Story About 4 TFM – Act Despite the Voice of Insecurity)
Inse sighed as he tossed his video game controller onto the couch. “Books are boring,” he muttered. “I don’t see the point of reading for fun.”
Curity, sitting nearby, raised an eyebrow. “Oh really? You’ve never read a book about video games?”
Inse blinked. “Wait… there are books about video games?”
Curity grinned. “Of course! Some books tell stories about kids getting stuck in virtual worlds. Others have cheat codes and tips. You just have to find the right book.”
Inse crossed his arms. “I don’t know… I’m not a ‘reading’ person.”
Curity tapped her chin. “Sounds like the voice of insecurity is talking.”
Inse frowned. “Maybe… but what if I don’t like it?”
Curity shrugged. “Then at least you tried. Today’s transformation is all about acting despite the voice of insecurity. You don’t have to feel confident before you start—just start anyway.”
Inse hesitated, then sighed. “Fine. Let’s find a book.”
The next day, they visited the library. At first, Inse felt lost. Shelves stretched high above him, filled with books he had never cared about before.
But then, he saw it—a book about a boy who got transported into his favorite video game. His heart skipped a beat.
Curity nudged him. “You gonna listen to the voice of insecurity, or are you going to act anyway?”
Inse grabbed the book. “I guess I’ll give it a shot.”
That night, he opened the book. At first, it felt slow. His mind kept telling him to put it down.
“You don’t like reading, remember?”
But he pushed through.
And then… something clicked.
The story sucked him in. He read late into the night, unable to stop.
The next morning, he ran to Curity. “I love this book! Why didn’t I try reading sooner?”
Curity smirked. “Because you were listening to insecurity instead of acting. But now you know—you don’t have to feel ready to start. You just have to start anyway.”
From that day forward, Inse made time to read—not because he was told to, but because he wanted to.
And he had learned something powerful:
Taking action, even when doubt is loud, can lead to the best surprises.
