The stories age 4+ are deliberately written in language that is understandable for parents. So extra explanation is (intentionally) required while read the bedtime story. This creates more intense parent-child relationship.

As the sun began to set and the stars slowly appeared in the sky, Inse felt a heavy weight on his chest. He missed his friend who had moved away and didn’t know how to deal with his feelings.

Thankfully, his older sister Curity knew just what to do. She gently took his hand and led him outside to the backyard, where they sat down on the soft grass. Inse stared up at the sky, watching as the stars twinkled above them.

Curitywhispered to him, “You know Inse, the stars are like our feelings. Sometimes they shine bright and strong, and other times they’re more dim and faint. But they’re always there, just like our emotions.”

Inse looked at his sister, feeling comforted by her words. He asked her, “But what can I do when I miss my friend so much?”

Curity smiled and replied, “Let’s use the five transformations to help us deal with our feelings. First, we need to ignore the voice of insecurity that tells us we’re alone and sad.”

Inse nodded, understanding what his sister meant. He took a deep breath and tried to push away those negative thoughts.

“Good job,” Curity praised him. “Now let’s use that voice of insecurity as inspiration. What can we learn from this situation? Maybe we can learn to appreciate the time we have with our loved ones.”

Inse thought for a moment and then smiled. “You’re right! I should cherish the memories I have with my friend and be grateful for the time we spent together.”

Curity nodded in agreement. “That’s the spirit! And now, let’s focus on the voice of security. We can find comfort in knowing that we still have each other, and that we can make new friends too.”

Inse felt a warmth in his chest as he looked at his sister. He knew she was right. “You’re the best sister ever,” he told her.

Curity hugged him tightly. “You’re the best little brother I could ask for. And remember, we can always befriend our two inner voices and learn to live with both sides of life.”

As they sat under the starry sky, Inse felt a sense of peace wash over him. He knew he would miss his friend, but he also knew that he had his sister by his side, ready to help him deal with any challenge that came their way.

And as they got up to head back inside, Inse looked up at the stars once more, feeling grateful for the lessons he had learned that night.

The End.
