Title: “Inse’s Secret to Staying Cool”

Inse always tried to stay calm, but sometimes, anger got the best of him.

Like today.

He was playing soccer when a kid on the other team shoved him, causing him to trip and fall. His knee scraped against the dirt.

Pain flared, but something even stronger rose inside him—anger.

“They did that on purpose! Push them back!” the voice of insecurity urged.

His fists clenched. His heart pounded. He was ready to yell—until a different voice spoke.

“Wait. Think. You are in control.”

Inse turned to see Curity walking over. She crouched beside him. “That looked rough. Are you okay?”

“I’m fine,” Inse muttered. “But they tripped me!”

Curity nodded. “Yeah, that wasn’t fair. But getting mad won’t help. Let’s use 3 TFM – Let the Voice of Security Be Your Guide instead.”

Inse frowned. “How?”

“Start with a deep breath. In… out…”

Inse inhaled and exhaled.

“Now,” Curity continued, “instead of listening to the angry voice, find the calm one. What’s it saying?”

Inse thought. “Stay cool. Don’t let them control your emotions. You can handle this.”

Curity smiled. “Exactly! You get to decide how you react. And right now, you can either let anger take over… or stay focused on the game.”

Inse hesitated, then nodded. “I want to play.”

“Then let’s do it!” Curity cheered.

With a deep breath, Inse stood up, shook off the dirt, and got back in the game—stronger, calmer, and in control.

The End.

This story helps students learn how to let the voice of security guide them when dealing with anger or frustration. Perfect for Day 1 of the challenge! 😊
