The stories age 4+ are deliberately written in language that is understandable for parents. So extra explanation is (intentionally) required while read the bedtime story. This creates more intense parent-child relationship.

Once upon a time, in a magical land of talking animals and wise trees, there lived a little boy named Inse and his big sister Curity. They lived in a cozy treehouse deep in the heart of the forest. Inse loved playing with his animal friends, but sometimes he felt left out.

One day, Inse was playing with his friends when he overheard them planning a secret adventure without him. Inse’s heart sank, and he felt a knot form in his stomach. He didn’t know what to do.

He went back to his treehouse and sat on the floor, feeling sad and alone. That’s when Curity found him and noticed something was wrong. Inse told her what had happened, and she listened carefully.

“Inse, don’t worry,” Curity said. “Everyone feels left out sometimes. But remember the five transformations we talked about? You can use them to overcome your feelings of insecurity.”

Inse wasn’t sure what to do, but he trusted his sister. So, they talked about the five transformations and how they could help him feel better.

“First, ignore the voice of insecurity in your head,” Curity said. “It’s okay to feel sad, but don’t let those negative thoughts control you.”

Inse thought about it and nodded his head.

“Next, use that voice of insecurity as amusement and inspiration. Laugh at it and learn from it,” Curity continued. “What can you learn from feeling left out?”

Inse thought about it some more and realized that maybe he could use this experience to become a better friend and make others feel included.

“Third, listen to the voice of security. Believe in yourself, be confident and focus on the good things,” Curity said. “You are a kind and caring person, and your friends love playing with you.”

Inse smiled at his sister’s words.

“Fourth, take action. Use what you learned to make things better,” Curity said. “Maybe you could talk to your friends and tell them how you feel. Or maybe you could plan a fun adventure for everyone.”

Inse thought about it and felt a spark of hope in his heart.

“And finally, befriend the two inner voices,” Curity said. “It’s okay to feel insecure sometimes, but also remember all the good things about yourself. Be your own best friend.”

Inse felt a warm feeling in his chest, and he hugged his sister. “Thank you, Curity. I feel better now.”

So, Inse took his sister’s advice and talked to his friends. He told them how he felt and shared some of his own ideas for the adventure. They were happy to include him, and they all had a wonderful time together.

From that day on, Inse remembered the five transformations and used them whenever he felt insecure or left out. He learned that it’s okay to have negative feelings, but it’s also important to focus on the positive things and be your own best friend. And with Curity by his side, he knew he could overcome anything.
