Inse was feeling nervous. He was starting a new school and didn’t know anyone there. His sister, Curity, noticed that he was feeling insecure and decided to give him some advice.
“Inse, remember the first transformation. Ignore the voices in your head that make you feel insecure,” Curity said.
Inse nodded, trying to push away the negative thoughts in his mind. But as they walked to school, he couldn’t help but feel anxious. When they arrived, Inse saw that the other kids were different from him. Some had different skin colors, spoke different languages, or dressed differently.
Inse felt uncomfortable and wanted to stay away from the other kids. But Curity noticed his hesitation and said, “Inse, remember the second transformation. Use your insecurity as inspiration to learn more about others who may be different from you.”
Inse took a deep breath and looked around. He saw that the other kids were laughing and playing together, regardless of their differences. He realized that he could learn from them and maybe even make some new friends.
He walked up to a group of kids who were playing soccer and asked if he could join. They welcomed him with open arms and soon he was having fun playing with them.
Inse realized that he was starting to feel more confident and happy. He thanked his sister for her advice.
“Security, you were right. I feel better when I try to understand and accept others who are different from me,” Inse said.
“That’s the third transformation, Inse. You’re learning to be guided by the voice of security,” Curity replied with a smile.
As the weeks passed, Inse became friends with many of the other kids at school. He learned about their cultures and languages and found that they had a lot in common.
One day, Inse saw a new kid sitting alone at lunch. He looked sad and lonely. Inse remembered how he felt on his first day of school and decided to invite the new kid to sit with him and his friends.
The new kid smiled and introduced himself. Inse learned that the new kid was from a different country and spoke a different language. But instead of feeling nervous or uncomfortable, Inse was curious and wanted to learn more.
“Thanks for inviting me to sit with you guys,” the new kid said.
“No problem. We’re all friends here,” Inse replied.
Inse felt proud of himself for reaching out to the new kid. He realized that he had grown a lot since starting school and felt more confident in himself.
“Security, I think I’ve learned the fifth transformation. I’ve befriended the two inner voices and learned to accept both the good and bad in life,” Inse said.
“I’m so proud of you, Inse. You’ve become such a wise and kind person,” Curity said with a hug.
Inse felt happy and content knowing that he had overcome his insecurity and learned to accept and appreciate others who were different from him. He couldn’t wait to see what other adventures and lessons life would bring him.
