Title: “Inse and the Friendly Voice”
Inse sat on his bed, strumming his guitar. The talent show was coming up, and his heart felt like a drum pounding in his chest.
“What if I mess up?”
“What if they laugh at me?”
The voice of insecurity was back, whispering doubts into his mind.
Curity knocked on the door and sat beside him. “Thinking about the talent show?” she asked.
Inse nodded. “I want to do it, but my thoughts keep saying I’ll fail.”
Curity smiled. “That’s your voice of insecurity talking. But guess what? You don’t have to fight it. You can befriend it.“
Inse frowned. “Befriend it?”
“Yep! That’s 5 TFM – Befriend Your Inner Voice. Instead of seeing that voice as an enemy, think of it like a little nervous helper, just trying to keep you safe.”
Inse thought for a moment. “So, like a tiny worried squirrel?”
Curity laughed. “Exactly! It’s not trying to stop you—it just doesn’t know how brave you really are. You can listen to it, but you get to make the final choice.”
On the night of the talent show, Inse stood backstage, feeling that nervous squirrel chattering in his mind.
“Oh no, Inse! What if your fingers slip on the guitar?”
Inse smiled. “Thanks for the warning, little squirrel, but I’ve practiced. I’ll be fine.”
He took a deep breath and stepped onto the stage. As he played his guitar and sang, the worries faded. The music filled the room, and when he finished, the crowd erupted in applause.
Curity hugged him. “You did it!”
Inse grinned. “I listened to my voice of insecurity, but I didn’t let it stop me. I befriended it!“
From that day on, Inse didn’t try to silence his nerves—he learned to work with them. And that made all the difference.
The End.
