The stories age 4+ are deliberately written in language that is understandable for parents. So extra explanation is (intentionally) required while read the bedtime story. This creates more intense parent-child relationship.

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Inse. He was a kind and curious boy who loved to learn new things. However, sometimes he felt nervous and scared, especially when he had to take a big test at school.

One day, Inse’s sister, Curity, noticed that he was feeling anxious. She asked him what was wrong, and Inse told her about the test. Curity listened carefully and then told Inse about the five transformations. She explained that everyone has a voice of insecurity and a voice of security in their head.

Curitytold Inse that the first transformation is to ignore the voice of insecurity. Instead, he should try to use it as inspiration and amusement, just like a silly joke. Inse didn’t understand at first, but Curity gave him an example. She said, “Imagine the voice in your head saying, ‘You’re going to fail the test.’ Now, imagine a funny voice saying, ‘Oh no, the sky is falling!’ Which one makes you laugh?” Inse giggled and said, “The funny voice!”

Next, Curity talked about the second transformation. She said that Inse should try to use the voice of insecurity as a source of inspiration. He should think about what the voice is trying to tell him and how he can use that information to do better on the test. Inse thought for a moment and said, “Maybe the voice is saying I need to study more.”

Curity nodded and smiled. She told Inse about the third transformation, which is to listen to the voice of security. This means being confident and believing in yourself. Curity told Inse that he was smart and capable, and that he could do well on the test if he tried his best.

Inse felt a little better after talking to his sister, but he was still nervous about the test. So, Curity suggested the fourth transformation – taking action. She helped Inse come up with a study plan and they practiced some of the test questions together. Inse felt more prepared and confident as the test day approached.

Finally, Curity told Inse about the fifth transformation – befriending the two inner voices. This means accepting that everyone feels scared or unsure sometimes, but also believing in oneself and not letting those fears hold one back. She reminded Inse that even if he didn’t do well on the test, it didn’t mean he was a failure or that he should give up.

On the day of the test, Inse took a deep breath and remembered everything his sister had told him. He ignored the voice of insecurity, used it as inspiration and amusement, listened to the voice of security, took action by studying and preparing, and befriended the two inner voices by believing in himself and accepting his feelings.

When Inse got his test results, he saw that he had done well! He was proud of himself and grateful to his sister for helping him overcome his fears. From that day on, whenever he felt nervous or scared, he remembered the five transformations and felt more confident.

And so, Inse and Curity went to bed with happy thoughts in their heads, knowing that they had helped each other in a great way. The end.
