As the sun began to set and the day came to a close, Inse grew anxious. He knew what was coming, but he didn’t want to admit it. It was his least favorite part of the day – bedtime. Inse was afraid of the dark and all the things that could be hiding in it.
But luckily, his big sister Curity knew just what to do. She gently tucked him into bed and began to tell him a story. It was a story about a brave knight who faced his fears and conquered them. Inse listened intently, feeling comforted by his sister’s soothing voice.
As the story ended, Inse’s fear began to creep back in. He didn’t want to be alone in the dark. But Curity had an idea. She reached for a small nightlight and placed it on Inse’s bedside table. The soft glow filled the room with just enough light to make Inse feel safe and secure.
Inse still felt a little uneasy, but Curity knew just what to do next. She sat down next to him and began to talk about all the things he loved. His favorite toys, his best friend, and his family. As they talked, Inse began to relax and forget about his fear.
Finally, it was time for Curity to say goodnight and leave Inse to sleep. But before she went, she gave him a big hug and whispered, “You are safe, and you are loved.” Inse smiled and closed his eyes, feeling content and happy.
The next night, Inse didn’t feel as scared as before. He knew that Curity was there to help him and keep him safe. And as time went on, he grew more and more comfortable with bedtime.
Inse still had moments of fear, but now he knew what to do. He would think about all the things he loved and remind himself that he was safe and secure. Thanks to his big sister, Inse was able to conquer his fear of the dark.
