The stories age 4+ are deliberately written in language that is understandable for parents. So extra explanation is (intentionally) required while read the bedtime story. This creates more intense parent-child relationship.

As the sun started to set, Inse and Curity were getting ready for bed. Inse was feeling nervous about going to school the next day. He had a big presentation to give, and he was worried that he would forget what he wanted to say.

Curity noticed Inse’s worried expression and asked him what was wrong. Inse told her about his presentation and how nervous he was feeling.

“Don’t worry, Inse,” Curity said, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder. “Remember the five transformations we learned about? Let’s use them to help you feel better.”

Inse looked at Curity with wide eyes. He remembered the five transformations, but he wasn’t sure how they could help him with his presentation.

“Okay, let’s try it,” Inse said, feeling a little skeptical.

The first transformation was to ignore the voice of insecurity. Inse closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He tried to push away the voice in his head that was telling him he would mess up his presentation.

The second transformation was to use the voice of insecurity as inspiration. Inse opened his eyes and looked at Curity. “What can I learn from this voice?” he asked.

“You can learn that you care about doing well,” Curity replied. “And that’s a good thing.”

The third transformation was to listen to the voice of security. Inse took another deep breath and tried to focus on the positive voice in his head. “I can do this,” he told himself.

The fourth transformation was to take action. Inse decided to practice his presentation one more time before going to bed.

Finally, the fifth transformation was to befriend the two inner voices. Inse realized that it was okay to feel nervous, but he didn’t have to let it control him. He and Curity hugged each other, and Inse felt a sense of calm wash over him.

The next day at school, Inse gave his presentation with confidence. He remembered the five transformations and used them to help him stay focused and calm. After the presentation, his teacher complimented him on how well he did.

Inse felt proud of himself, and Curity was proud of him too. They both knew that the five transformations could help them overcome any challenge they faced.

As they snuggled under their blankets, Inse and Curity talked about all the things they could accomplish with the help of the five transformations. And with that, they both drifted off to sleep, feeling peaceful and content.
