Inse and Curity: A Growth Mindset Tale.

Share Adventure

The stories age 4+ are deliberately written in language that is understandable for parents. So extra explanation is (intentionally) required while reading the bedtime story. This creates more intense parent-child relationship.

As the sun began to set and the stars twinkled in the sky, Inse, a young boy, climbed into his cozy bed, feeling uneasy and unsure about tomorrow’s math test. He wished he could do well in math like his sister, Curity.

Curity noticed her brother’s worries and sat down beside him. “Inse, what’s troubling you?” she asked in a gentle voice.

Inse sighed and replied, “I have a math test tomorrow, and I’m afraid I won’t do well.”

Curity smiled reassuringly and said, “Inse, do you know about the five transformations? They can help you overcome your fears and insecurities.”

Inse looked at his sister, curious about the five transformations.

Curity began to explain, “The first transformation is to ignore the voice of insecurity. It’s okay to feel nervous, but don’t let those thoughts take control of you. The second transformation is to use that voice as inspiration. What can you learn from it? How can it help you?”

Inse listened carefully, but still felt unsure about his math test.

“The third transformation is to let the voice of security guide you,” Curity continued. “Think positively, focus on your strengths and remember that you are capable of doing well. The fourth transformation is to take action. Study hard and practice the math problems. And finally, the fifth transformation is to be friends with both voices. Embrace both the good and the bad and remember that it’s okay to make mistakes.”

Inse smiled at his sister, feeling more confident. “Thank you, Curity. I’ll try my best tomorrow.”

Curity gave her brother a hug and said, “Remember, mistakes are opportunities for learning and growth. You’ve got this!”

As Inse drifted off to sleep, he felt grateful for his sister’s advice and the five transformations. He knew that he could face his fears and overcome them with a little help from the voices inside his head.
