(A Story About 4 TFM – Acting Despite the Voice of Insecurity)
Inse sat on the edge of the soccer field, staring at the goalposts. His classmates were warming up for the big game, but he stayed put. His heart pounded.
“I can’t do this,” he muttered.
Curity, stretching nearby, glanced at him. “Why not?”
Inse sighed. “What if I mess up? What if I miss the ball and everyone laughs?”
Curity sat beside him. “Sounds like the voice of insecurity is talking again.”
“I can’t help it,” Inse admitted. “It’s so loud.”
Curity nodded. “That voice never really goes away. But today’s transformation is about acting despite the voice of insecurity. It’s okay to feel scared. What matters is what you do next.”
Inse frowned. “But what if I fail?”
Curity smiled. “Then you learn from it. But if you don’t try, you’ll never know what could have happened.”
Inse looked at the field. The coach was calling for substitutes.
His voice of insecurity screamed, “Stay here! It’s safer!”
But another voice—softer, steadier—whispered, You can do this.
Before he could change his mind, Inse stood up. “Coach, I’ll go in!”
His teammates cheered as he jogged onto the field. His stomach was still tight, and his hands still shook, but he was doing it.
The game began. A ball rolled toward him.
“This is it,” he thought.
His voice of insecurity whispered, “You’ll miss it.”
But instead of freezing, he acted anyway. He kicked the ball.
It soared toward his teammate, who scored the winning goal. The team erupted in cheers.
Inse couldn’t stop smiling. The voice of insecurity was still there, but today, he had acted despite it.
And that made all the difference.
