Bouncing Back: Inse’s Journey to Overcoming Disappointment.

Share Adventure

Inse had always loved sports. He had been practicing basketball for months and was eager to try out for the school team. He arrived at the gym, nerves and excitement building up inside him. After hours of drills, sprints, and games, the coach posted the list of players who made the team. Inse’s name wasn’t on it.

Feeling disappointed and frustrated, Inse dragged his feet out of the gym, head hanging low. He didn’t know how to cope with the feeling of rejection. As he walked aimlessly, he noticed Curity sitting on a nearby bench. Curity noticed Inse’s downcast expression and asked, “What’s wrong, Inse?”

“I didn’t make the basketball team,” Inse said, his voice trembling.

Curity nodded. “I understand how you’re feeling. But I want you to remember that not making the team doesn’t mean you’re not a good player. It’s an opportunity to learn and improve for next time.”

Inse looked up at Curity, feeling a glimmer of hope. “But how can I improve when I didn’t even make the team?”

Curity smiled. “You can practice on your own or join a community basketball team. And, most importantly, you can use this experience as motivation to work harder and improve for the next tryouts.”

Inse thought about what Curity said and realized that it made sense. He decided to take Curity’s advice and began practicing every day. He even joined a local community basketball team and started making friends with other players who shared his love of the game.

Through his dedication and hard work, Inse became a better basketball player and eventually made the school team the following year. He also learned the valuable lesson that disappointment can be an opportunity for growth and improvement.
